Q: What are the Resource Centre's opening hours?

A: Our Resource Centre is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. We are closed on weekends and public holidays.

Q: How can I contact the Resource Centre?

A: You can contact us via email at library@orpp.or.ke or call us at via office lines, ext 603 during our opening hours.

Q: Where is the Resource Centre located?

A: The Resource Centre is located on 4th Floor, Lion Place, Westlands, Nairobi.

Q: How do I become a member of the Resource Centre?

A: All staff qualify to become members, with all the access priviliges. One must agree to the terms and conditions for using the services. Stakeholders and members of the public fill out a membership application form or make a formal request to the Registrar of Political Parties. Bring a valid ID and proof of address when submitting the form or request.

Q: What are the benefits of Resource Centre membership?

A: As a member, you can borrow books, access online resources, use our reading area, and participate in Resource Centre events and programs.

Q: Is there a membership fee?

A: Membership is free.

Q: How many books can I borrow at one time?

A: Members can borrow up to 2 books at a time for a period of 14 days.

Q: How can I renew borrowed books?

A: You can renew your books online through our Resource Centre portal, by phone, or in person at the Resource Centre. Books can be renewed twice unless they are reserved by another member.

Q: What are the late fees for overdue books?

A: The late fee is Ksh 50 per day per book. Please return or renew your books on time to avoid late fees.

Q: How do I access the Resource Centre's online resources?

A: Members can access our online resources by logging into the Resource Centre portal with their membership ID and password.

Q: What types of online resources are available?

A: We offer a variety of online resources, including e-books, journals and databases.

Q: Can I download e-books from the Resource Centre portal?

A: Yes, members can download e-books for offline reading. Please check the borrowing terms for e-books as they may vary from one publisher to another.

Q: Does the Resource Centre offer free Wi-Fi?

A: Yes, we offer free Wi-Fi access to all our visitors. Please ask for the Wi-Fi password at the front desk.

Q: Does the Resource Centre host events and workshops?

A: Yes, we regularly host events, workshops, and reading programs. Check our events calendar on the website or at the Resource Centre for upcoming events.

Q: How can I donate books to the Resource Centre?

A: We accept book donations during our opening hours. Please ensure that donated books are pertinent to ORPP mandate, and in good condition.
