For decades, Africa has suffered serious setbacks in its journey towards progress. The region was plagued by protracted poor economic performance, mass unemployment, and high level of poverty. In recent years, however, Africa has made some progress, and the international development community is now rediscovering Africa which, previously, was written off as "a hopeless region". The articles selected for this special issue examine the critical role that entrepreneurship can play in repositioning Africa for alternative future of sustained economic growth. Policy is needed to promote entrepreneurial efforts and to institutionalize entrepreneurship as the fulcrum of economic growth to enhance employment prospects and alleviate poverty UR - https://ebookcentral.proquest.com/lib/orpp/detail.action?docID=2030570 ER -
