También fueron 2.000 los ciudadanos encuestados, y unos 150 los que participaron en diferentes grupos de discusión sobre los asuntos centrales de la deontología informativa. Tanto periodistas como ciudadanos explicaron cómo entienden la objetividad, los medios ilícitos para conseguir información, el trato a los grupos socialmente desfavorecidos, las relaciones entre los medios informativos y los poderes públicos, los regalos que pueden recibir los periodistas sin ver comprometida su independencia, el mal gusto y la grosería, las servidumbres comerciales de la profesión, los límites entre información y opinión, las noticias que tratan sobre terrorismo, las imágenes de cadáveres, el acoso mediático a los personajes famosos y los intentos de la profesión por regularse a sí misma. |
